There are several links located along the top and bottom of the Home page.

  1. Parks Canada – Directs you to the Parks Canada Home Page.
  2. FAQ – Displays Frequently Asked Questions to help provide information about the Parks Canada Products.
  3. Reservations – Brings you to the Parks Canada Campground Reservation Service where you can make a camping reservation at participating Parks Canada locations.
  4. Official Merchandise – Brings you to the Parks Canada Shop where you can purchase Parks Canada official merchandise.
  5. Plan Your Visit – Brings you to a Parks Canada page where you can explore your travel options through Parks Canada.
  6. Fees – Brings you to a Parks Canada page with a current list of fees for park locations.
  7. – Brings you to the Government of Canada website:
  8. Services – Brings you to the Service Canada website:
  9. Departments – Brings you to a Government of Canada site with all departments and agencies.
  10. Language – English/French switch that will allow you to choose your preferred language to view the site.
  • Language – Select your preferred language on the top right hand side of the Home page.
  • Quick Search – A Search field is available to assist in easily locating products.
  • Mini Shopping Cart Icon – Mini Shopping Cart dialog appears when adding items to the cart. Also, when clicked on, the Mini Shopping Cart shows the last 4 items added to the cart. It will close with another click on the Mini Shopping Cart Icon or on the "X". The Mini Shopping Cart dialog includes a "Proceed to Checkout" button linked to the Shopping Cart page.

Order Process



  1. From the home page, select the "Free 2017 Discovery Pass" category from the menu bar.
  2. Select the product that you would like to order from this category. The product information will be displayed.
  3. Enter the quantity that you would like to order (limit four per person).
  4. Click "Add to Cart", the mini shopping cart will appear. Click "Proceed to Checkout" to finalize your order.


  1. From the home page, select the "Boating and canals" category from the menu bar.
  2. Select the product that you would like to order - "Free 2017 Seasonal Lockage Permit" or "2017 Seasonal Mooring Permit" - by clicking on the picture. The product information will be displayed.
  3. Select your vessel length.
  4. Enter your Vessel Registration ID.
  5. Click "Add to Cart", the mini shopping cart will appear.
  6. To order another permit for a vessel with a different Vessel Registration ID, click "Close" in the mini shopping cart and follow steps 1 through 5.
  7. Click "Proceed to Checkout" to finalize your order.

The shopping cart page features important information regarding all of the products you have selected to order:

  • Product – Lists the name of the product and its number
  • Availability – Indicates if the product is available
  • QTY – Displays the number that you have ordered
  • Each – Displays the price of each item
  • Total – Displays the total per item
  • Promotional Code – Enter a promotional code here if applicable and then click "Apply".

You can remove items from this page. Click "Continue Checkout" button to proceed with the order.


Enter all information carefully into each field. Please select the check box under Shipping Address to apply the same information entered to the billing information. This should also be done if billing information is not applicable for your order.


This page will allow you to review the selected shipping address, select the shipping method and enter your billing information, if applicable.

Select Shipping Method from drop down of available options:

  1. When ordering your Free 2017 Discovery Pass, Free 2017 Seasonal Lockage Permit or 2017 Seasonal Mooring Permit, please select "First-Class Shipping – Included" (no additional charges will be applied to your order).

    If you are ordering a 2017 Seasonal Mooring Permit, scroll down to “Billing Information”. Select your billing method from the drop down menu and carefully enter all information into each field. Check that your billing address is correct.

  2. Click "Next" to go to "Order Summary Page"

The Order Summary page lists the relevant information for your order and gives the final review before the order is submitted.

After reviewing the order details please indicate if you would like to sign up to receive additional information about Parks Canada (upcoming experiences, activities, etc) by clicking the check box.

Before completing your order please read the Terms of Use and click the box to agree. Click "Order".


The Order Confirmation page displays the items that you have ordered, the total cost if applicable, and provides you with an order number. We suggest that you print this page for your records as it constitutes your official receipt if a payment was required for your order.

On the top right-hand side of this page you may also choose to Continue Shopping.


Please note that the Parks Canada Passes and Permits system has been designed to process orders immediately after they are received. As such, as soon as your order is placed and you select "Order", you are responsible for the items ordered and any charges associated with the order if applicable.
